Exchange 2010 Database Maintenance

Under Exchange 2010, can I set two databases to run the database maintenance at the same time, providing that backup is not running on these two databases under the maintenance period.

yes, you can set.
by default it is enabled on mailbox databases at 1 to5 am
Also in Exchange 2010 Database ESE scanning (background database maintenance) is set to 24x7
