have an outlook imap file setup.   when trying to delete an email from the inbox before opening the email, i get a message  "the operation cannot be performed because the object has been deleted".   If i open the email and then hit delete then the file will delete fine.  I just cannot delete without opening each file.   Same thing happens with emails in my sent file.   cannot delete unless i open each email individually.   Any advice?

Note:   this email account is a comcast email account that used to be pop3 but then comcast started to offer imap.   so i created a new imap account.   this problem started when i created this imap account.

Two options to fix this problem are given here

Of course another option might be to revert to POP3.
