SCCM 2007 and Sccm 2012

How many number of clients(Max limit) i can have for SCCM 2007 and 2012. And could you please explain how an SCCM infra managed when the client count reaches its treshold.

What size is your environment?

Below are maximum numbers for SCCM 2007 and 2012:
sccm counts
To answer the second half, I would need to know your client counts so as to know which threshold you expect to exceed.

The second half of the the question is a scenario asked to me on the other day I have attended an interview.
