Is it possible to remotely rename computers via DC?

I have about 50 computers that need to be renamed and wondering if there is a way to do it from the server instead of visiting each workstation.

all workstations are windows 7 pro

This can be done using "netdom" from the AdminToolKit.

Syntax is below...
netdom renamecomputer old-name  /newname:new-name  /userd:domain_admin_login  /passwordd:domain_admin_pwd

You can also use the /reboot:second switch at the end to reboot the machine as well.

You can also do this from Powershell as well. See below link for details...
