Access SAP Connector

Hi

Does anyone know of a means of getting SAP data into Access?

Depending on how your company views data access, you might be able to link directly to the SAP tables but in most companies, this is a non-starter so you have to get them to give you an extract or you have to be able to piggyback on one that is already happening.  Last time I looked, SAP tables were really difficult to understand.  The original application was created many years ago in a mainframe environment when all names were restricted to 8 characters and I don't think the older parts of the app have ever changed that.  The thing that makes it doubly hard is SAP was developed in Germany and the names are all German abbreviations so they are gibberish to English speakers.

Usually the extracts would be created as .csv files but you may have options.  Start with your desktop support people.  They will probably know who you have to get in touch with.
