Issues with MOSS 2007 not working with IE 10 correctly

I have a MOSS 2007 server that we have had for quite some time.   We were running IE 9 and all was good.  Went to IE 10, and it seems like the action items no longer work and  you can not open sharepoint folder in a browser.  This works fine with IE 9.

If I put IE 10 in compatibility mode the actions Items then do work.  My question is how can I get the action items to work with IE 10 without going into compatibility mode.

thanks

Hi,
this could happen when ASP.NET does not recognize the browser from its user agent string.

Description:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/hh869299%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

Hotfix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600100

The main issue is that in previous versions you could change the behaviour of the document rendering of IE by setting specific meta tags which is no longer possible / handled correctly in IE 10.

Does this actually change the item actions.  We did make a single change, that got IE 10 being able to be recognized by sharepoint.   Have you heard of this fixing the action items issue as well.

thanks

Add this patch to the server still can not use sharepoint with IE10 or IE11 without going into compatibility mode.
