I have a cfc that create a json to be pass to the front end application to build the drop down list. IN the query I have 1 field for the date and 2 other fields for the time which are properly formated at the time. When I display it to the user the formatting disappears. THe interesting thing  is it is consistently happening for one item but not for the other. So sometimes it works sometimes it displays without the formatting.

The coldfusion cfc is being called on change event

What you do in cold fusion or php or asp has nothing to do with your js/jquery.  Serverside code runs before the page renders...on the server.   After CF, PHP or ASP processes, html is sent to the server.  Once the page loads is when the jquery goes to work.

With that in mind, is the issue with  your query not returning data?  Or are you having jquery problems.

Please render the html of your page and post it or better, post a url we can have access to in order to see what is going on.
