Hi Experts –

We are considering a VOIP system by Vertical called Wave IP. Would everyone offer their pros/cons regarding the Wave IP solution?

We are concerned about integration with other products to offer screen pops for call center, IVR (telephone banking), active/active setup, video, call recording, and call center functionality.

Thank you

Hello,

I can't comment on the Wave IP Telephone System but in the past when we have installed various VoIP Systems we have found it sometimes difficult to integrate with clients CRM Systems.

The VoIP Systems we have supplied previously come with their own screen popping systems that would integrate with outlook but not the CRM's as expected.  This was because of the way that they where designed.

The suggestion that I would make here would be to pass the details of your CRM provider onto your Telephone System provider so that they can have a chat and confirm 100% that it can be integrated. You don't want to be paying all the money and find out it won't integrate.

With regards to the Call Recording and Call Centre functionality, again normally the Telephone System will have software for this which should be used.

If you are going with SIP Trunks I would suggest having a backup ISDN line as they can sometimes be a little flakey with the calls being put over the internet.

Depending on price you may want to look at a Telephone System from one of the more well known telecoms manufactures like NEC etc.

Hope this helps a little.
