Are you trying to take content without permission and use it on your own site, or do you have permission to use the information; in which case Yahoo probably has an API to let you generate the JSON files.

Well based on this:
http://developer.yahoo.com/forum/General-Discussion-at-YDN/Yahoo-groups-API/1385526373566-6ce9c6c7-b366-48ba-90e4-96b620553328

There does not appear to be an API for what you want.

You might be able to modify one of the APIs or tools here:
http://developer.yahoo.com/everything.html

And if none of those help you might have to try Yahoo support here:
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en_US&page=product&y=PROD_GRPS

If you still don 't have anything, then you will need to write a screen scraper to extract the content off of the pages, parse it and generate the output in JSON format.

Quite a substantial piece of programming given the format of Yahoo pages.  You might also try getting it off the group as an RSS feed as converting the XML to JSON would be less work.
