Hi,
I bought Nexus 5 few days back, now I'm confused, should I buy a Miracast Dongle or Google Chrmoecast? I'm not an Apple fan and not sure if I want Apple TV, so here I am and need expert opinion.

My basic requirement is to clone the display without wire but it would be great to have more options.

Thanks

practitioner,

For now, you are going to want to go with a Miracast dongle. Chromecast currently only supports streaming other content, not what's on your device, unless you display through your Chrome browser on the device. Nor does Chromecast use the Miracast standard. As you can see, this would not allow you to clone the display.

Cheers,

Thanks LHerrou,
Do I get any other advantage if I choose Apple TV / Roku?

Neither Apple TV or Roku currently allow mirroring, so if you want to clone your display, you'll need to go to Miracast. Having said that, here's a pretty good article that discusses the advantages and shortfalls, at least as of fall of 2013:

I was checking Amkette vs Roku and found Minix Neo X7

It can also display content directly from a Tab or Mobile like Nexus 5 or from a laptop / PC.

It looks promising and I'm thinking to buy it, I'll appreciate your view.

I don't know anything about the Minix. It shows as out of stock on that site, however.

This Asus Miracast Dongle isn't shipping yet, as far as I know, but looks very promising:
