searching for documents in server 2008 R2

I miss my old search engine, it worked well...

how can I ask the OS to look for any word documents containing the phrase " employee hiring"  
can someone help?

Presumably you know roughly where the documents are on your server (they are not in Program Files, for example).

Open Windows Explorer to the top level folder, see the search bar top right, enter your search terms and search.

That works for me.

would  Prospective hiring new employee work?   or must I use quotes.

If I am trying to search for an exact string, I enclose it in quotes. But then you need the very exact string.

I have used this method and it works on my systems.
