unable to reinstall microsoft security essentials windows 7 still claims a copy is installed.

Restore your PC to an earlier time (before uninstalling MSE) and use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall MSE.

Tired to manually remove security essentials but the computer is still not allowing me to reinstall the program.

Tried to run remover tools but this failed to fully remove security essentials. Full rebuild of the computer was the only option left to me.
