hi, as the subject states we have a IBM ds 5300 with a few exp 5060's. yesterday afternoon we had a issue with a drawer in exp 0 - every disk in the tray went dark and all the disk were marked in the log like this:

Date/Time: 12/16/13 3:44:38 PM
Sequence number: 109553
Event type: 6008
Event category: Internal
Priority: Informational
Event needs attention: false
Event send alert: false
Event visibility: true
Description: Stable storage drive unusable
Event specific codes: 0/0/0
Component type: Drive
Component location: Enclosure 0, Drawer 5, Slot 8
Logged by: Controller in slot B

One disk after another - now the whole drawer is black, any help from DS5xxx experts would be great,

So you have checked the obvious things like power supplies fans etc?

What are the data connections to the shelf?
