Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange 2007 with domain name issues

Heres the scenario. Have a Server 2008 Server that runs everything but the exchange. That is housed on another pc thats running Server 2003. Heres the issue. The domain name is MarXX_2.local . When i try to run the exchange setup on the new server it fails due to a improper domain name and it not liking the special character in the name. Is there a way aorund having to redo the domain  in this situation. Thanks in advance

Hello,

Your options are to migrate to a new domain or you can try renaming the domain. Here are the instructions to do that:
