emails straight to drafts - Eschange 2010 SP3 - active sync

We have an odd error with a few mailboxes on our exchange 2010 sp3 server, there are various reports of similar issues and we have ruled out the following:

*windows firewall is not enabled
*CRM is not used
*Outlook is using cached exchange mode
*DNS is not using IPv6 address
*Same issues occur with AV disabled
*Inherited permisions are enabled
*Nothing of note in the event logs
*Exmon doesn't show high usage by one user
*active sync ping collision is present in active sync logs but doesn't seem related?
*same issue happens on ios and windows phones so would seem to be effecting all devices
*have resynced all devices

Any one get any more ideas or things to try?

Thanks

Run new-mailboxrepairrequest command with -detectonly switch in order to detect if any corruption exists in those mailboxes.

ASKER

hi thanks for the quick response - i have run the full checks on the 2 mailboxes in question and they both complete successfully - event 10048
What version of outlook client these affected users are using? are they in offline mode or online mode while outlook is running? if offline try putting them in online mode.
check if you have any third party add-ins at the outlook clients for this users.
I read on a post earlier some outlook add-in was causing the similar issue for activesync devices.

Editing the post :
This was the post I read earlier.

outlook clients are 2007 / 2010 - the problem occurs even when their PC is not turned on (tested as there was suggestions on forums that outlook being open could make a difference) there doesn't seem to be any add in's used - have checked if it occurs with outlook in safemode as well

problem has returned

after the above comments we logged a case with MS which after a few months of diagnostics and checking eventually MS advised to export the mailbox and import into a new mailbox, obviously this wasn't ideal and the urgency of the problem dropped either due to a lack of occurrence or it not being deemed important, however in the last 2 weeks the issue has returned effecting 4 mailboxes ,in all likeliness the export and reimport will happen in the next few weeks but i wondered if anyone else had anything else similar?
