Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 - Adding Notes

Good day,

I understand using a marketing campaign you can apply an activity to many contacts but is there a method to add a note to multiple Contacts?

On a first look I think the answer is no. However if you throw some light on what exactly you are trying to achieve I might be able to help you with a workaround.

Hi Chinmay,

Thank you for your reply. Quite simply we use a combination of activities and notes to record \ view  the recent history of a contact.

Ideally we would like to use only the activities however there is no method to view the content of an activity, e.g. after a phone call the user might want to record the details of that call, when the next users views the contact's activities unless they specifically open every activity they are not going to see all the recently recorded information, hence using the notes.

We would like to add a note which indicates the contact has received a "Christmas Present", so when a user next contacts the Contact they can see the recent history of the present.

hmm no this is not possible out of the box. However what if you develop a custom web resource to fetch activities and show last 5 activities on the form itself?

Also is this CRM Online or Onpremise? Have you heard of activityfeeds? We might be able to leverage it.

I would also like to if there are any plans to upgrade to CRM 2013?
