We use Citrix Universal Printer for everything - has worked fine except for HP LaserJet P1606DN which doesn't respond to "universal drivers".

What steps are needed to make Citrix print to this printer?

Thank you...

1. Install the HP laserject P1606DN specific model driver on your XenApp farm servers.

2. In the Citrix policy Universal Print Driver Usage select Use printer model specific drivers only if universal printing is unavailable

@ Mutawadi,

If all my XenApp farm servers are provisioned off of an image.

Is there an easier way of installing the model-specific driver in a PVS environment?

Apart from waiting to have all the XenApp farm servers down to install the model-specific driver in the image in private mode, you can do the following:

1. Create a copy of the .vhd and .pvp files in the same PVS store and change the name to reflect a higher version of the vDisk.
2. Create a new vDisk from the copied .vhd and .pvp files.
3. Increase the version number on the newly created vDisk and change it to private mode.
4. Assign a free XenApp server the newly created vDisk and boot it up.
5. Do the installation, any optimizations you  would need to run and shut down.
6. Change the vDisk into standard mode.
7. Assign the newly created vDisk to all your XenApp farm servers by dragging the vDisk to the XenApp specific device collections.

This way, next time the XenApp servers restart they will boot from the new vDisk.
