Need help with SharePoint Dashboard

Hello,

I have some data like this:

Desc.       Status      Number    Color
                                Value      Indicator
-----------------------------------------------
Goal A    Done          4            Green
Goal B    On Track    3            Blue
Goal C     Late           2            Red
Goal D    New           1            Blue
Goal E     Deferred    0            Black

This data can be in an Excel spreadsheet and I like to display it on a SharePoint 2010 page as a dashboard.

Can you provide from some steps on how to set this up in SharePoint 2010?

Thanks,

Paul

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,
which edition of SharePoint 2010 do you have?
If it is Enterprise then you can setup and use Excel Services and Excel Web Access to display a chart/pivot table from a published Excel file.

Alternative could be to store the data in a SharePoint list and using jQuery / SPServices, some magic Javascript and some Javascript charting framework to display the results using Content Editor Webpart.

I have a follow up:

Can I display some cells in a worksheet as a dashboard?  I like to use the conditioned formatting on cells.  See attachment.
