Blackberry Enterprise Service 10

We have installed Blackberry Enterprise Service v10.2. We have created connection with Micosoft Active Directory in BlackBerry Administration Service.

When we serach any object then it fails and getting error  "The BlackBerry Administration Service cannot find the records you were looking for. Verify the search criteria you specified and try again"

Appreciate if you helps us to resolve this issue.

Did you by chance have problems activating the users, deleted the user, then added them back? You could have a pending deletion still sitting in the queue.

Also, did you assign the user an email profile?

How the new BB 10 server will communicates with our exchange organisation. Do we need to do any settings on BB server. Kindly assist.

It uses ActiveSync. Do you have your Exchange environment configured for Activesync?

Thanks but my query is that iphone/ windows mobiles/Android devices are communicating with Exchange using Activesync then why we need blackberry server, if BB devices communicates with Active Sync.

Mainly for the additional control of the devices (IT Policy) and sending the data over the encrypted BB network. While it does use ActiveSync, with a BDS server, the data is not sent straight to the BB, it is picked up by the server, transmitted via the BB network, and received by the device. Technically, just to sync mail, calendar, etc you do not need the server.

Thanks...so its sufficient to enable Activesync for communication with BB devices OR do we have to install "Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1" on blackberry enterprise service 10

Activesync works fine. The MAPI client is no longer used with the Blackberry server after version 5. One of the reasons is the limit of one device per person. With the move the the Playbook and the 10 series, they had to move to ActiveSync in order for a user to have multiple devices.
