Hello I had a physical machine running windows 2008 R2, and inside a Windows 2012 with an exchange 2013.

This physical 2008 R2 has died and I took advantage to install windows 2012 R2,

Everything looks fine, but the Virtual machine with windows 2012 and exchange 2013, when I try to boot stays "configuring devices"

Any idea.

thanks

Hi

What if you select advanced logging during startup (pressing F8) and when you think the server is halted reboot. Select troubleshoot-> command prompt en read into the ntbtlog.txt which should be located in %windir%\system32?

I would think the bottom line is indicating why the system halts.

If not try to boot the VM from media  and have it repair the install.
