Should I get one with a tray or trayless.

Any ideas on good ones?

There is zero information here.

I always put drives in carriers (attached to small drives), rails (for some PC installations), or trays (for some server installations). They always go in something and the "something" always comes from the manufacturer.

I always use the attachments and overall housing as supplied by the manufacturer.  My experience with Startech is mixed.

If there is adequate cooling overall, the drive bay housing should be fine without additional fans provided it is well vented.

As I said, I only use manufacturers components and in my case that is IBM.

I looked at the unit and it looks fine. Make sure it works in your environment and you should be fine.

I had some Startech gear a while back that worked fine but would not work in the next generation of equipment. That is what I meant.
