Joomla 1.5 Photo Gallery from a folder

Hi.

I have a Joomla web site. I have a lot of images from different articles at public_html/Images/stories

I would like a component that shows an image gallery based on a folder with images. The idea is to install a component, configure the folder, and then I can create a new page based on this component that shows the image on this folder like a Gallery.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

well I use Joomgallery on my version of 3.2  Joomla which uses a folder method to make the gallery
but Notice you want 1.5 which is end of life.
but might worth trying to see if they have an old version:

this extension says it supports 1.5 and you install it and configure where the folder (and sub folders) is for the gallery:

http://www.joomlaworks.net/docs/simple-image-gallery-pro

as long as you have PHP's GD image library and its at least PHP v4

its not free but at least it means you get support.  with 1.5 extensions not being support really and you should think about upgrading to 3.x

Thank you. But I were looking for a free extension as this is for a organization non gobernamental which has no money.

I've found a 1.5 archive of free photo galleries:

Thanks for your answer. I have installed XGallery, which seems to be perfect for my needs.
However, it doesn't seems to work: http://www.escacsvalls.com/galeria-de-fotos.html

I have just installed, added a menu entry with a XGallery content type and see that the configured foledr is /images/stories on the component parameters.

Should I configure anything else?

Thank you.
