outlook sync with gmail

I have a client that has 2 laptops, one has Windows 7 pro with Outlook 2007 the other Windows 8.1 with Outlook 2013. She uses a Gmail e-mail account and wants both computers to sync with the web based software so that all e-mail, contacts etc. are the same on both computers. Both versions of Outlook are setup with IMAP and work fine sending and receiving. Although the 2007 version has a PST file and the 2013 has an OST file.

I would appreciate some help on this.

even thought the instructions are for Outlook 2010 it should work on 2007 and 2013

It is recommended to use IMAP to synchronize email across multiple machines and devices:
