iPad iOS Version does not support netflix

Hi guys,

I don't have to much knowledge about iPads, the problem is that my boss needs to install the Netflix app on his iPad, but appears this message:

"The Netflix app needs the iOS 6 or higher"

I now how to do that with PCs but I'm new on MAC, so the question is: Do I need to upgrade the iOS, if so how can I do that?

Please guys any help on this matter is great!
