My selenium script not recognizing jsf split button with id element

whereas
selenium script  recognizes fine jsf command button with id element.

I am not sure how to fix it

please advise
Any links resources ideas highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Did you try using xpath or css selector to get the button instead of using  id?

How to get xpath or css selector. I have to introduce IDs as they are not there earlier. Do i need to incorporate xpath or css selectors also into the code to make it work. Please advise
