FYI POE switches

I have a couple of scenarios which calls for a POE switches:
The first is a small office looking for VOIP phone and to power the desksets via POE.  The second is an older school building that wants Access points throughout the building, Over 100 meters long.
The question about both is can I daisy chain poe switches?.
If I use both standard and POE switches can I daisy chain them?
If so is it OK to plug a POE run into a standard switch?
What is the sequence if there is one?

Thanks
Steven

You can plug a standard switch into a PoE switch, and vice-versa - that's no problem.

A PoE port will only deliver PoE if the device asks for it.  In this case, your switches won't ask for PoE so it won't get any power from the upstream switch.
