Hi,

I'm trying to install Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop and when I run the installation the logo of the Visual Studio appear and disappear again and nothing happen, I get a brief splash screen, no errors, not running in the background. I checked the system requirement and they are compatible.
I appreciated any help.

Looks like the Install Instructions mentions there are two ways to install. Either download the ISO file and burn it to a DVD (or mount it) or use the other (small) file for a web install.

It seems to have been an issue w/ Symantec Anti-Virus.  Once I uninstalled it I was able to install Visual Studio just fine.
