Internet Explorer Crashes

A few weeks ago the MS Internet Explorer (Version 11) on two of my Windows 7 computers started crashing.  I get a message at the bottom of the screen that "Internet Explorer has stopped responding" - after restarting it the program works fine.  It happens every few days, and isn't a huge problem, but it is an annoyance.  Do you know what is causing this, and what I can do to fix it?

Most likely causes are the Addons/Plugins, then Malware/Viruses and lastly poorly designed webpage.

So first thing you may like to do is disable all the addons and see if that makes the difference. You should also check if you are running any old version of Flash or Java.

Then check for any Malware/Viruses. I would recommend to run MalwareBytes on your system.
Thirdly clear the cache/temp files and folders.
