Stream Video from Server Essentials 2012 R2; not download!

Hi Experts,

I have been using Windows Home Server for years, and have upgraded to Server Essentials 2012 R2. I installed the Media Pack, and I'm able to view the video files in my library using remote access from any browser. However, when I click on a video - it doesn't stream it, it downloads it. I tried in IE and Chrome. From on my network (internal), as well as off (external).

I was able to stream the video in a new tab in previous versions- is there a work around, or something  I can do to enable streaming?

Thanks,

Angeal

Yes, media streaming has been enabled.

Microsoft stopped new development on Windows Media Services and No further development will be done. The replacement technology is Smooth Streaming with IIS Media Services.

install that

good explanation how it works is here

It wasn't working because VLC was the default player for .mp4 files. After changing the setting back to the default (Windows Media Player) - video started to stream again.
