I am interested in hiring someone to handle all of my Social Media:
- Facebook
- Twitter
- Pinterest
- Google+
- About.me
- YouTube
- Instagram
- LinkedIn
With the exception of Facebook and (maybe) YouTube, it looks like my only option is to give the person I hire all of my logins and passwords.
Which means if he or she really wanted to, they could then change the passwords and lock me out of my own accounts.
What is the standard practice for hiring someone to handle all of your social media?
Facebook lets you assign 'managers' to your Facebook account while still maintaining admin control over the account.
I looked into social media management tools (like HootSuite). With HootSuite, I log in and manually add all of my social media accounts, and then I give someone access to HootSuite. As long as they log into HootSuite they do not need my social media logins. The problem with HootSuite is that it does not work with all of the Social Media accounts I listed above.
Surely there is a solution to this. I'm just not seeing it.
I want to hire someone to manage my social media without giving them the one and only admin login.
