Hi Experts,

Can I know if the search crawl in SharePoint 2007 include the content of the files that are being crawled?

If yes, where can I check this setting and is it possible to configure it to crawl the file contents for just a particular site collection.

rgds,
Nickson

In order to crawl content inside a document, an iFilter specific to the document type must be installed.  By default an iFilter for Office Documents is installed so this content is crawled.

For PDF files you must manually deploy the Adobe iFilter.
