I agree with Jeff, the reasonable thing which you could've done is checking the internet how to do the migration properly but I think you have just went without even checking if there's a supported way of migration from OCS to Lync 2013.<br />

In case you don't want to migrate all your users then your only resort is getting a MS support ticket to see how you can solve this with the two current environments .

We have OCS 2007 R1 installed in our company. I sucessfully installed Lync 2013 server. I migrated a user to the Lync server. When a Lync enabled user talked with an ocs enabled user, the following error appear :<br />

Lync can't IM chat to OCS pool and vice versa.
