Hi Folks,

Where can I identify which SQL Server is used by the WSS 3.0 or SharePoint Server 2007 ?

at the moment I'm about to delete the SQL Server 2005 Express Edition DB directory but not sure if it is being used by the current WSS 3.0 or not to store all of my Document Library items.

Thanks for the reply, but somehow I still cannot determine which is the correct SQL Server database that is in used by my WSS 3.0

There are multiple DB server in the SharePoint CA site and I'm not sure which one that is still in use.

So does in this case WSS 3.0 have SSP database as well ?

In central admin -> servers in farm -> This will have the config db name and the server it resides on.

In the application management page you'll have the default DB server. Mostly all your content DB's are going to be there.

NO WSS 3.0 does not have SSP, unless you have project server or biztalk server installed.
