REST webforms vs mvc

Please, I am new to REST and MVC.  I have traditionally been using web forms with web services.  I would appreciate any comments on the viability of using web forms with REST approach and any opinions if I am wrong headed for wanting to continue with web forms with the REST services I must use.  Any good links for web forms with REST would be appreciated.  as well opinions if you think I am going down the wrong path and should jump into mvc would be respected and appreciated.

I suppose you could use WebForms in a manner that would be MVC-esque, but you would be bastardizing the technology to work as something else. Having worked with both WebForms and MVC, I would encourage you to bite the bullet and learn MVC. The code is, IMO, cleaner, and it is closer to being how the web itself works than WebForms is. Also, if you learn MVC you can jump right in to WebAPI, which is MS' new framework for RESTful services.
