To avoid problems that sometimes occur when I edit text in the memo window, I have created a special form with an Edit control linked to the memo field. I have a grid in which one of the columns corresponds to the memo field. I have put a code to show the form with the Edit field in the DoubleClick event of the corresponding text field of the memo column. Double clicking brings the form up, but the system memo window still opens simultaneously. How can I prevent it from opening?<br />

Memo window in FoxPro

Windows Live Mail is the successor to Outlook Express, a discontinued email and news client bundled with several versions of Microsoft Windows, from Windows 98 to Windows Server 2003, and available for Windows 95 and Mac OS 9. In Windows Vista, Outlook Express was superseded by Windows Mail, then again by Windows Live Mail as separate software. Outlook Express is a different application from Microsoft Outlook. Beginning with Windows Vista Microsoft included Windows Mail, based on large parts of Outlook Express source code.

Visual FoxPro (VFP), and its predecessor FoxPro, is a data-centric, object-oriented, procedural, database programming language and IDE from Microsoft last released in 2007 that still has some active use due to its low cost of deployment and fairly rapid development. In 2008, Microsoft released a set of add-ons for VFP's xBase components to allow interoperability with various Microsoft technologies. It allows data processing against its native file-based data tables or database servers such as SQL Server.
