Hello,

The wordpress search bar is not working on

www.nlpwiki.org

Could you look at it and help us get it working? I tried installing new search plugins so far, no luck yet.

Thanks!

Does this site have any posts to search on?  All I can see is one very long page?

There's no posts, just the 3 pages listed across the top menu of the home page.

1. http://nlpwiki.org/wiki

2. http://nlpwiki.org/35-years-revisited-3

3. http://nlpwiki.org/submission-contact-form

Default WordPress search doesn't search pages...just posts.  You need to add a plugin like Relevanassi to get pages to be searchable.

Installed Relevanassi, but it's not working.

I activated it, deactivated it, and activated it again as instructions said.

There is not a query_posts() call in the search results file.

I built and index and saved it.

No luck yet.

Tried on 3 different themes and didn't work. By the way, our home page is a wiki using this plugin:

https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wordpress-wiki/

The other 2 pages are Wordpress "Pages"

When I built an index, it indexed all 3 pages.

What's next?

If you disable the plugin, does it work?

I just added two test posts, disabled the plugin, and it still didn't work. Tried 2 different themes no luck. It must be the wiki plugin. Do you know what steps I can take?

So here's the thing:

Search is a basic WP function.  It's in the core so it should always be working unless the theme search form/results page is screwed up or something else gets in the way.

WPMU Dev makes some good plugins but they also make some crappy ones and the Wiki one is one of the crappier ones.  I would contact them for support on this issue
