Sharepoint 2010 hardening

My Sharepoint sits on two 2010 Sharepoint servers with the database on an SQL server. All servers are 2008R2. If I want to harden this setup what is my best course of action. Is this a case of just hardening the OS e.g lock out and password complexity for AD and making sure Sharepoint is patched?

There are several things Microsoft recommends.  There is also a security config wizard template available specific to SharePoint.
