I have a .MPG video file. When I run it in Windows Media Player, it has sound. When I run it in Picasa, I lose the sound. I'm pretty sure the solution would have something to do with codecs. If downloading codecs is the solution, I need to know exactly what to download (the last time I tried on my own, a lot of garbage came along with the codecs).<br />

My system: Windows Vista Service Pack 2. My apple Quicktime and Picasa is the latest out there.<br />

I am attaching the MPG file. However, I had to change the extension to get it to upload.<br />

Picasa MPG no sound

Windows Vista is an operating system created by Microsoft as the successor to Windows XP. It was intended for PCs, workstations and laptops, and shares the same code base as its successor, Windows 7.
