using a internal fax\Data\Voice modem

I was wondering if it is possible to use the phone that is connected to the modem in the computer to use as a mic to make wav files. I know I used to do that with and external modem, but they had a mic input to do that.

It should work, but it will depend on the software you have with the mode.  Do you know the model you have?
