updating the operating system on a redhat box

I have two redhat boxes one is up to date and the other isn't.  I pay redhat good money for the updates, but if you have ever tried to use redhats help you will know why I am posting here.  The updating used to be easy before and help actually used to help.

when I use yum to attempt to update I get this message back:
the system is receiving updates from RHN Classic or RHN Satellite
Package Firefox available but not installed
no packages marked for update.

does anyone know what file to alter to make yum work?
