asked on

relay another domains emails through exchange 2010

Greetings,

I set up a new send connector on 2010 for relay. Properties are

- custom connector
- local IPs are both of the 2010 servers
- remote server is the phone system IP (voicemail to email)
- authentication is externally secured
- permissions are anon users and exchange servers

I need to relay emails to another domain from the phone system which sends out emails of voicemails. We are able to receive the vm to email in our domain, but I still can't get emails to their domain to be sent.

I likely forgot to configure something on our server, but it may also have to do with our send connector and / or the smarthost (spam soap) which all emails go through in and out.

Any insight into how to get the other domain's emails out is appreciated.

for history, this is a question I posted about it awhile back. It was then scrapped but now they want it again. hopefully the first, very detailed post is not necessary.

I found this on spam soap. 192.168.25.66 is our phone system.

Recipient Disposition: [250 Bounce (553 Validating Sender: 5.1.8 ... Domain of sender address tel=1_555_5551234@192.168.25.66 does not exist); Mode: normal; Queued: no; Frontend TLS: yes]

gave some points to Mahesh for responding. it was resolved by having the phone system integrator join it to our domain.
