SQL server 2008 R2 version 10.50.1600.1 issue cannot get into new database

I have just installed a SQL 2008 and now cannot get into the database install that I just created .

I have made sure the SQL browser service is running ( It was disabled )

HELP!

I have tried from management studio both mixed and windows mode

I am not remote I am right on the box
