Amazon AWS vs Microsoft Azure - Need Adv/Disadvantages

I have been asked to look into the Amazon AWS and Azure Platforms compare the advantages and disadvantages of each.

The use case would be to host our own VDI infrastructure (globally) within on of these clouds (eg Citrix).  Cost is not really a factor as we can do some negotiation with both players.

Whilst I am new to Cloud providers I have spent a fair bit of time looking into these platforms and talking with the vendors and it seams that as an IaaS play both have almost identical offerings and I have struggling to find any real differences that might be useful in our decision making.

I am hoping our EE friends can help me with some of their thoughts on what some key differences are between AWS and Azure ?

Amazon AWS is more mature, stable and works.

Microsoft Azure is not mature in our opinion, good for labs, training, but we've not got any production on AWS, or our clients!

thanks - Looking for something a little more concrete than this.

I would definitely recommend, setting up free and trial accounts on both AWS and Azure, testing, and see which means your requirements.
