iPhone Cloud & Sync & BAckup

Hi, i've had an mac, ipad and iphone since they first came out but i don't like syncing my data between all devices and i don't use the apple cloud at all as i don't want all of my date duplicated across all of my idevices, as there is items on my iphone that i don't want on my mac and ipad, and there is items on my mac that i don't want on my iphone etc etc etc...

I also don't like clogging up my mac with the music i have on my iphone as i never listen to music through my mac... so therefore i've just kept away from syncing and the cloud.

Because i've continued to ignore these areas of Apple for so long, i now feel that i am actually out of 'sync' (excuse the pun)... so i was thinking maybe they could be of use to me...

Where do i start... has anyone come across a good intro / article on the above and good ways to manage your Apple devices... thanks in advance for your help.

If you're looking for another tool to sync, I can also recommend Bittorrent sync, I use it on my iPad and all other Apple devices, it works a treat

I have all of my music set up as playlists... if i want to add an album to my phone, i create a playlist and title it the album name, then i copy the mp3's over... so how can i backup a clone of all of this... because the annoying this with my approach is that when you change or upgrade your phone, you have to load your music back over :-(
Apple devices by default doesnt allow you to connect to devices as USB disk. When you install 3rd party free tools like SynciOS, your apple devices can be seen as attached USB drive. You can then copy all music and playlist to back them up.

Once do copy the album and playlist into your workstation, sync the other devices with the PC, all you have to is copy the album and playlists into the itunes folder, for my windows 7 laptop, it is C:\Users\My Profile\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music. The music will then sync to the new device.

I was in a similar situation with my friends new iPod. Not being able to accomplish using icloud, I tried so many different tools and ended up doing this.
