Can I clone Nokia E72's IMEI to another E72

hi folks,

as my Nokia E72 got issues on its motherboard and i intend to move to another identical E72. because some applications such as Mail For Exchange and Gravity are IMEI specific, i hope i could keep the same IMEI with the next phone.

can i clone the IMEI from one E72 to another?

thanks,
bbao

Hi

I don't say it is impossible but on recent Phones the security has been upgraded big time like one time programmable chips.

Anyway, IF it is possible you need to have very large skillset in Nokia equipment and software plus professional equipment.

Next it is an illegal act in many countries ( like changing your car's serial code ) so i would recommend you to contact your provider and ask them if they are capable to do this.

I am really curious about which chip on the motherboard is used to store the IMEI. see the components below.
