Hi.

I have a blog at wordpress.com. I have moved on my own hosting, installing wordpress and some plugins.

On wordpress.com there is a widget that allows visitors to subscribe to the blog, so when I add a new post all subscribers receives an html e-mail with the post. Is this possible to have this functionality on my own hosted wordpress? I tried some free plugins without success.

Thank you.

Finally I'm using Jetpack subscription, which is the plugin more similar to the subscription functionality on Wordpress.com.

However I don't see how can I manage the subscribed users, for example for adding all the users I had previously subscribed (I have their e-mail addresses). Is this possible?

No, that's not possible with Jetpack.  It's a spam control measure.

I don't understand. Why I can export/import subscribed users from my old site to my new site?

Because if you could do that, anyone could "subscribe" a list of email accounts to a new WordPress instance and then use the wordpress.com infrastructure to spam them by publishing a new post.  So there isn't import/export mechanism in Jetpack to the best of my knowledge.

Try contacting their support...I could be wrong.

That's ok, seems logical. Thank you.
