After installing VS 2013 Pro. The following error was displayed:

Failed to add current user to Hyper-V administrators group.

How can this be fixed?

Check if you have the group and hyper-v role installed
from a cmd prompt open lusrmgr.msc and see if the group Hyper-v Administrators exists
you can add any user(s) you want to this group

I found out that windows 8.1 does not support Phone 8 app development.

I am downgrading to Windows 8.0
