Hi All,

Im planning to install Exchange 2013 enterprise version, when I run the setup its was failing. someone advised me to Install Exchange 2013 CU2 as its a full Exchange installation,  after the installation I noticed that the version is Standard, I was wondering how to deploy CU 2 or CU 3 as enterprise version.

Thanks

Hi,

Exchange 2013 will be showing as Standard Edition after fresh installation because it will be in trial period. You need to enter the Product Key to make it a licensed server. Based on the Product Key you entered, Exchange will determine whether the software is Enterprise or Standard version.

Enterprise Edition supports up to 100 Mailbox Databases on a server and to enable this, you should have Exchange Server 2013 RTM Cumulative Update 2.
