KVM is an console connected through http

it's an appliance where all machines connected with POD cable (one end USB + VGA connecting to machine other end lan connect to the KVM switch.

this KVM switch is having internet connection and console configuration... thats the way you can connect to the KVM main console from there connect to the server.

after log in no signal mean either cable not connected to machine or loos connection ..

all the best

see the link for an idea..

for others who might find this question.
no signal is normal just click connect then a java applet will open then you press enter to wake it up.

as for file transfers. i ended up calling the hosting company and they said to use remote desktop as the client didnt have plesk or cpanel.

remote desktop allows you to access your desktops hard drive on the remote server (as long as you set this up in the settings menu)  remote desktop can be launched from the start menu (on Windows)  by trying in remote desktop in the search box.
