On an SBS 2011 server what do you think about turning off WSUS and how would you do that?

I am using GFI for windows and other updates on an SBS 2011 network. A consultant seems to have set up wsus on the server (I am seeing things about WSUS in the GFI error messages).

How would I turn off WSUS from the server?

Hi,

I can only recommend you NOT to try and delete WSUS, you will probably break more then you fix. Maybe not now but on the next rollout you could face disaster.
Better to analyse the error and correct it or just disable the WSUS services.

OK - disable the service?  In services, just set that service to disable and stop it?

Somewhere else said to remove the WSUS role.  Is that different from deleting?

How to disable it is described in this post.

Removing the role is deleting it (and i say it again, don't!)
